“And Just Like That…” brought you Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte again as a “Sex and the City” revival. After a long wait, HBO Max has finally confirmed season 2.

“And Just Like That…” Season 1 divided critics and fans of the original ” Sex and the City”. Nevertheless, the revival succeeded with the US streamer HBO Max. Finally, the streaming service announces that there will be a sequel with Season 2.
And Just Like That… Season 2: Release Date
So far, there is no official start date. For a long time, the series’ producers left fans in the dark about whether “And Just Like That…” will continue.
And executive producer Michael Patrick King told Emmy Magazine, “I don’t know. When we were working, it always felt like a beginning. It didn’t feel like a beginning, a middle, and an end. So I think it’s possible to continue – if we have enough good stories.” That’s according to U.S. magazine E! News.
So if filming for season 2 can begin soon, the new episodes could still be released at the end of 2022.
And Just Like That… Season 2: Storyline
In the finale of “And Just Like That…” In season 1, there is a passionate kiss between Carrie and the producer of her new podcast. Franklyn (Ivan Hernandez) has been under Carrie’s nose the whole time, but first she had to take time to process the loss of the love of her life, Mr. Big. In a second season, there could be some serious sizzle between the two.
Miranda moves to Los Angeles to join Che, as the two are now a couple. Miranda ended the marriage with Steve – to the displeasure of the fans. But can Miranda get used to life in L.A.? After all, she is a New Yorker through and through. But the move could be a breath of fresh air in her life, as could her relationship with Che. Miranda even gets her hair dyed again at the end of the season. In season 2, we would see how their new relationship develops.
Charlotte has to learn in season 1 that she can’t control everything. Especially not her daughters. The fact that Rose now comes out as transsexual and wants to be called Rock from now on will probably keep the headstrong Charlotte busy in season 2 as well.
A return of Samantha is still out of the question. If she should appear in season 2, then certainly again only in written form via text messages.
In his statement on the sequel to “And Just Like That…,” showrunner Michael Patrick King looks forward to “telling more stories about these vibrant, courageous characters – played by these strong, great actors:ins.” So reports industry publication The Hollywood Reporter.

At the moment, it can be assumed that all previous actors and actresses will return for a 2nd season, except Chris Noth (“The Equalizer”, “Law & Order”) as Mr. Big. Big died in season 1, and Noth’s appearance in the season finale was canceled due to the allegations against him.
That would mean we’ll see Sarah Jessica Parker as Carrie Bradshaw, Cynthia Nixon (“The Gilded Age,” “Ratched”) as Miranda Hobbes, Kristin Davis (“Melrose Place”) as Charlotte York and David Eigenberg (“Chicago Fire”) as Steve Brady again.
Also returning would be Sara Ramírez (“Grey’s Anatomy”) as Che Diaz, Nicole Ari Parker (“Chicago P.D.”) as Lisa Todd Wexley, Mario Cantone as Anthony Marentino and Evan Handler (“American Crime Story”) as Harry Goldenblatt.

As HBO Max’s most successful series, a renewal of “And Just Like That…” was only a matter of time. Showrunners Michael Patrick King and Sarah Jessica Parker wanted to produce another season and capitalize on the momentum of its success. Although the reviews were mixed, the sheer number of viewers could be a reason for HBO Max to give the sequel the green light.
