‘Baki Hanma Season 2’ is based on the popular manga, ‘Baki the Grappler’ by Keisuke Itakagi. The anime follows the life of Baki, a teenager, who plans to defeat his father, Yujirou Hanma, who is the strongest in the world. Season 2 of Baki Hanma is divided into two parts, with Part 2, titled ‘The Father vs Son Saga’ all set to release on August 24, 2023.

Baki Hanma Season 2 Episode 9: Recap
The entire episode 9 was something that fans of the anime were highly anticipating. Pickle and Jack fought hard in the arena, but the former came victorious. Pickle not only defeated Jack Hanma, but he also tore apart his jaw to shreds.
Jack was among the first to inflict some sort of wound on Pickle. He bit off the primitive man’s left ear. For some reason, Pickle decided to not eat Jack as he had a similar aura to his mortal enemy, the wasp.
Baki Hanma Season 2 Episode 10: Defeat
Jack wakes up in a hospital and realizes that he lost to Pickle. Unable to acknowledge his defeat, he returns to the arena to fight Pickle for the second time. Pickle is shocked to see Jack for a second time, and makes a run for his life, thinking how this man, who he presumed to be dead is back, fighting.
Jack pursues Pickle outside the arena. Pickle for a moment stops running and decides that he won’t let his pride down. He turns back and knocks out Jack in a single punch which sends him flying. Jack later wakes up again, at the same hospital.
Baki Hanma Season 2 Episode 10: The Hanma Blood
Jack again decides to leave the hospital to go fight Pickle, but Baki stops him. Baki tells Jack that Pickle did not kill him and instead hung him up on a post, as a meal to salvage later. Jack finally accepts his defeat.
Yujirou is meeting up with Tokugawa, the owner of the Underground Arena. Tokugawa tells him that Baki has taken up refuge in the same arena as Pickle and is waiting to fight him. Yujirou is ambitious that Baki can defeat Pickle, as he has the Hanma Blood in him.
Baki Hanma Season 2 Episode 10: Survival of the Fittest
Pickle considers Baki a friend and even shares his meal (raw T-rex meat) with him. Baki is tired of waiting for the primitive man to fight him, and in order to enrage him, insults him by gently slapping him.
Pickle is enraged and challenges Baki to a fight. Baki manages to get Pickle in a rear chokehold but Pickle manages to slam Baki into the ground. Baki seems to be standing on his feet, but the spectators, Retsu Kaioh and Hanayama are unsure if Baki is unhurt.
Baki Hanma Season 2 Episode 10 ended with two of the strongest characters in Baki finally fighting. It will be interesting to see what the outcome of this fight will be. Baki Hanma Season 2 is now available on Netflix.
