Beastars season 3 is confirmed and will come to Netflix with new episodes! But with the third season, the anime will come to an end, as announced by the new logo of the series.
- Netflix and Studio Orange gave the green light for the production of “Beastars” season 3.
- Apparently, season 3 of “Beastars” will be the last one, as the animation studio Orange proves with a new logo.
- The anime drama “Beastars” tells about the events at Cherryton High School, a school for carnivores and herbivores.
Season 2 of the successful anime series “Beastars” first aired on Netflix in mid-July 2021. Shortly after the start of the new episodes, both the streaming provider and the animation studio responsible already announced season 3 via Twitter. Netflix and Studio Orange delighted fans with exclusive drawings by Paru Itagaki, the author of the manga. However, the new logo of the series indicates that season 3 of the drama anime will be the last.
“‘Beastars’ gets a new logo!” rings the news. “There must be many questions, but so far this is all we can reveal at this time. We hope you’ll stay with us until the end.” The subtitle “Final Season” actually makes it clear that the anime series will end with Season 3.
Is there a trailer for Beastars season 3?
There is no moving footage yet. If there are first trailers, you will find them here with us. You can see Itagaki’s drawings in the tweets.
Netflix and the animation studio Orange confirm in the social media that the anime series will get a third season. Mangaka Paru Itagaki also provided Studio Orange with a drawing that, in addition to Legoshi, Haru and Louis, also shows she-wolf Juno. It remains to be seen whether she means the “certain person” or possibly a completely new character.
When will Beastars season 3 continue?
There was about a year and three months between the release of season 1 in October 2019 and season 2 in January 2021 in Japan. Assuming the Corona pandemic caused delays for “Beastars” 2020 as well, you can definitely expect a Japan launch of season 3 in spring 2022.
Depending on the start in Japan, season 3 may then be available on demand in late summer 2022.
Beastars Season 3: Storyline
The second season of “Beastars” concludes pretty much exactly with the end of volume 11 and the beginning of volume 12 of the manga. This means that 11 more volumes of the 22-part manga series are waiting to be filmed. Now the plot in season 3 has to be streamlined so that the remaining volumes can be given their place in the anime, or you might get more than 12 episodes this time.
Legoshi was finally able to identify Tem’s killer and engaged in a fierce battle with Riz. Although the Gray Wolf was able to convince Louis to come back to Cherryton High, he himself wants to leave the school to dedicate his life to the protection of herbivores.
However, Legoshi’s relationship with Haru in particular fell by the wayside in season 2. Jokingly, Haru asked Legoschi in the last episode if she should perhaps look for another boyfriend.
In the manga, new stages of life begin for Haru and Legoshi. The plot ground of the third season will probably follow the manga as before. Thus, Haru transfers to university, while Legoshi actually leaves school and learns about life outside. But at the same time, he wants to reconcile his relationship with Haru.
So Legoshi gets to know Haru’s family and the wolf realizes how little he knows about love relationships between carnivores and herbivores and its image among the population. Legoshi cannot tell Haru the real reasons why he wants to leave the school. This enrages Haru and makes her sad. What will become of the unequal couple that seems to be drifting further and further apart?
A new character will also appear on the scene. One of the former Beastars, Yahya, a horse, shows interest in Legoshi. Despite his potential, however, the Gray Wolf will have a long way to go.
Beastars” Season 3: Production
Since Studio Orange (“Godzilla Singular Point”) has also confirmed season 3, production-wise, it’s very likely that nothing will change. Shinichi Matsumi previously directed, Nanami Higuchi (“Little Witch Academia” ) was previously responsible as the screenwriter.
It is very likely that you will also hear all the familiar voices again. In the original Japanese sound, including Chikahiro Kobayashi as Legoshi, Sayaka Senbongi as Haru and Yuki Ono as Louis.
