Will there ever be Deadman Wonderland Season 2? Will we ever get to see a new sequel?
Deadman Wonderland is one of the many shounen shows that falls under the action, horror, Sci-Fi, and supernatural genres. The series narrates the story of Ganta Igarashi, a normal high school boy who suddenly got dragged into a world of sadistic inmates and enigmatic powers. This sudden turn of events has led him to live in constant fear and is forced to complete deathly games in order to survive.
Deadman Wonderland began life as a Japanese manga series written by Jinsei Kataoka and illustrated by Kazuma Kondou. It was first published in Kadokawa’s Shonen Ace in 2008 and it ran for fifty-eight chapters, compiled into thirteen tankobon volumes, before concluding on July 26, 2013.
Luckily, fans from all over the globe can enjoy the manga series Deadman Wonderland. Tokyopop had licensed the manga in English and successfully released the first five volumes before the company shut down its North American Publishing division in 2011. Later, it was announced on July 7, 2013, that Viz Media acquired the English license for the manga series. Viz Media released the first volume on February 11, 2014, and the rest follows every two months.
Not only in English but the manga series also can be read in several other languages. It was also published in Italian by Panini Comics under the Planet Manga imprint from January 24, 2010, to February 15, 2014; in Polish by Waneko from June 2014 to June 2016; and in Indonesian by Level Comics.
Deadman Wonderland Season 2 Renewal Status

On July 30, 2009, it was announced that the manga series Deadman Wonderland will be adapted into an anime series. The anime adaptation was animated by Manglobe, the studio that is best known for its anime releases such as Samurai Champloo, Ergo Proxy, and last but not least, The World God Only Knows.
The anime adaptation began to premiere on April 17, 2011 and ran for twelve episodes before concluding on July 3 of the same year. Later, it was followed by the release of a single OVA episode entitled “Deadman Wonderland: The Red Knife Wielder” on October 8, 2011. Not long after the release of the OVA, many fans are craving to see the continuation of the anime series. So, what is the renewal status of Deadman Wonderland? Is there any new information regarding Deadman Wonderland Season 2?
Unfortunately, neither the studio nor anyone from the production team has said anything regarding a sequel. With that being said, whether Deadman Wonderland Season 2 will be released or not is still questionable up to this date.
Deadman Wonderland Season 2: Will it be possible?

Because of the lack of information regarding a sequel, many fans are wondering whether Deadman Wonderland Season 2 would be possible or not. So, is there still a chance for the return of the anime series?
Unfortunately, the chance of receiving Deadman Wonderland Season 2 would be slim. The main reason is that the manga series has already come to an end, which is not looking good for the future of the anime series. However, there are some cases in which an anime receives a sequel even after the source ended. But, those shows have to meet certain criteria, and one of them is to have good sales to become profitable enough for the studio. Sadly, in Deadman Wonderland’s case, the sales were not looking good. Statistically speaking, it can’t even seem to reach a thousand sales in 2011 in Japan.
Not to mention, the adaptation of Deadman Wonderland received a glaring number of negative criticisms, which can be seen in forums such as MyAnimeList. The reason for those unpraised critics is mainly due to how the adaptation was done. Many people have said that the plot was horrific and went all over the place. Also, the animation was certainly lacking. And not only that, some important characters in the manga were not shown in the anime series.
When it comes to the source material, however, the studio would have more than enough of them for another run. The first season of Deadman Wonderland has only covered the first five out of thirteen volumes of the manga.
While Deadman Wonderland Season 2 may be looking bleak, there is a possibility that Deadman Wonderland will get a complete reboot. Many fans are interested in that (which can be seen in forum polls), as the series had so much potential if the anime is handled in the right hands. But, then again, considering the aforementioned points, fans should not have high hopes for both Deadman Wonderland Season 2 and the reboot. However, if the anime somehow return in the future, we will surely let you guys know.
