Netflix’s ‘Fair Play‘ is an upcoming erotic thriller directed by Chloe Domonot. This is Chloe’s first directorial debut, for which she will also be writing the script. The movie follows the life of a young successful couple, whose relationship begins to suffer after one of them receives a promotion over the other. 

‘Fair-Play’ will see Phoebe Dynevor and Alden Ehrenreich sharing screen space. This is the first time the two will be working together and the trailer for ‘Fair Play’ indicated that there was no lack of chemistry between them. Phoebe is known for her role in Netflix’s Bridgerton (2020-2022), whereas Ehrenreich, is better known as Han Solo from Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018).

Fair Play on Netflix Release Date: Mark your Calendars!

‘Fair Play’ is scheduled for a limited theatrical release on September 29, 2023, and will be premiering on Netflix on October 13, 2023. The film originally premiered on January 20, 2023, at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival. 

Fair Play on Netflix Plot: Big Career or Future Love?

Luke (Alden) and Emily (Phoebe) work together at a hedge fund firm where the competition is cut-throat. After one of the other employees has a meltdown, there is a promotion opportunity up for grabs which goes to Emily. 

Things take a turn for the worse as the recently engaged couple find the walls closing in on them. Emily’s promotion starts causing problems in her personal as well as professional life. She has to make a decision between work and Luke, who wanted the promotion for himself.

Fair Play on Netflix: Star-studded cast

Alden who plays Luke in Fair Play, began his career by appearing in Supernatural (2005). Following supporting roles in Tero (2009), and Stoker (2013), his breakthrough role came from the Coen brothers comedy, ‘Hail, Caesar!’ (2016).

Phoebe Dynevor who plays Emily in Fair Play, began her acting career as a child actress in BBC One’s drama, ‘Waterloo Road’ (2009-2010). She also played roles in ‘Prisoners’ Wives’ (2012-2013) and Dickensian (2015-2016).
