Captain America: Brave New World has finally wrapped up filming for the movie. The project which is part of Phase 5 of Marvel Studios is likely to be all set for its release on July 26, 2024. It is the fourth installment of the Captain America series and a continuation of ‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier’ (2021).
Anthony Mackie plays the role of Sam Wilson who is now the new Captain America. This comes after Steve Roger’s (Chris Evans) decision to settle down in ‘Avengers: Endgame’. Sam Wilson has now picked up the shield and the title of Captain America.
While the plot is yet to be revealed, we can definitely expect other characters from the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) to crossover. Harrison Ford, Shira Haas, Tim Blake, Danny Ramirez, Carl Lumbly, and Tim Blake Nelson will also star in the movie.
Who is Sam Wilson’s ‘Captain America’?
Sam Wilson’s journey to becoming Captain America started years ago when he partnered up with Steve Rogers as Falcon. Sam Wilson is a veteran United States Air Force Pararescueman who uses his jet pack with wings. Sam Wilson will be the first Black Captain America in the MCU.
The Falcon first appeared in a volume of Captain America #117 (1969). Anthony Mackie made his debut as Falcon alongside Steve Rogers in ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’. As of 2023, Wilson has appeared in six films of MCU.
Cinematographer Kramer Morgenthau posted on his Instagram story that the filming has officially wrapped. It was one of the movies which was not affected by the WGA Strike. This comes amidst the SAG-AFTRA nearing the end of its contract with every major studio on June 30, 2023.
The strike has led to several Marvel Movies already being delayed, and Marvel even pulled out of Comic-Con this year.

Fans have loved Steve Rogers, so it will be interesting to see how fans react to the New Captain America. Fans however are skeptical about the production time Marvel Studios has devoted to their movies after the WGA Strike.

Considering how lately the Marvel Movies have not been up to expectations, some fans already have predicted for this to be another C-tier project from Marvel who are just pushing out movies to keep up with the lore.
With Deadpool 3 also wrapping soon, Marvel won't really have anything else in production due to the writers strike. This might be the slowest the MCU has been in quite some time.

Harrison Ford is said to play the President of The United States in the movie but this crossover is a bit confusing, as Dermot Mulroney plays the role of President Ritson in Secret Invasion. Hopefully, this will be resolved in the upcoming episodes of Secret Invasion.
