Hajime no Ippo Season 4: Release Date, Plot, Cast, and Trailer – All You Need to Know!

More details about the boxing anime.

Don't miss

‘Hajime no Ippo Season 4’ is the highly anticipated sequel to the popular boxing anime. The anime is based on the Japanese boxing-themed manga series written and illustrated by George Morikawa. It has been serialized by Kodansha in the Shonen Manga magazine since 1989. The series is based on a similar genre of animes like ‘Baki Hanma’ and ‘Kengan Ashura’.

‘Hajime no Ippo’ follows the life of Makunochi Ippo, who decides to learn boxing when a boxer, Takamura Mamoru saves him from bullies. Life changes completely for Ippo as she slowly starts to fall in love with the sport. More than 100 million copies of the manga have been sold, making it one of the most popular mangas to date.

Here’s everything you need to know about Hajime No Ippo Season 4.

Hajime no Ippo Season 4: Release Date

Hajime no Ippo Season 4 Release Date

It’s been more than 10 years since Season 3 of Hajime No Ippo aired in 2013. Four key voice actors from the series have passed away, so Season 4 of the show remains unlikely. With more than 500 chapters from the manga still left, the lack of source material is not the issue.

Studio Madhouse has produced the first 3 seasons of the anime. Arguably, Hajime no Ippo is one of the best sports animes/mangas.

What to Expect in Hajime no Ippo Season 4?

Hajime no Ippo Season 4 Plot

Ippo has successfully managed to defend the Japanese featherweight title more than 5 times. He has evolved his ‘Dempsey Roll’ and it’s only a matter of time before he takes on the world title.

Takamura, the senpai of Makunochi has successfully managed to sweep 2 world boxing championships and plans on taking the remaining four weight categories as well. With a lot of chapters from the manga still left, Hajime no Ippo Season 4 will not be the final season, that’s for sure.

If there were to be a Hajime no Ippo Season 4, we are likely to see Ippo take on the world boxing featherweight champion, Ricardo Martinez. Ricardo is the same boxer, who knocked out Eiji Date, the former Japanese featherweight Champion.

We also hope that we will get to see the title fights of Aoki and Kimura, the funny side characters from the show. Most importantly, fans are itching to see Ippo and Miyata in the boxing ring.
