Heavenly Delusion: Anime adaptation to the manga announced

As has now been officially confirmed, the manga series “Heavenly Delusion” (jap.: Tengoku Daimakyo) by Masakazu Ishiguro will receive an anime adaptation. To coincide with the announcement, the first visual has been released.

The project is being created at animation studio Production I.G and is scheduled to air for the first time during 2023, without giving exact details yet. If new information is announced, you will find it on The Monster Hype!

Masakazu Ishiguro first launched his series on January 25, 2018 in Kodansha’s “Monthly Afternoon” magazine. The series is not yet complete.

Heavenly Delusion Storyline

“Do you want to go outside?”

“Heaven” is a peaceful place where Tokyo grows up with numerous other children. None of them have ever seen the outside world that lies behind the walls of their home… until one day, Tokio receives a mysterious message.

Hell is outside. In a post-apocalyptic Japan where man-eating monsters roam, Maru and Kiruko are on a journey. They seek “heaven,” but to get there they must first survive.

The locked paradise. The land that has become hell. What will happen when the two worlds touch…?
