Paddy Considine (“Hot Fuzz”), Olivia Cooke (“Ready Player One”), Matt Smith (“The Crown”) and Rhys Ifans (“The Amazing Spider-Man”) are among the big stars of the first hour. Young actress Emma D’Arcy has had previous roles in “Truth Seekers” and “Wanderlust”.

House of the Dragon: Plot

The new King of Westeros Viserys I Targaryen (Paddy Considine) was chosen by the Lords westeros to inherit the inheritance of his grandfather Jaehaerys Targaryen. As his heiress, Viserys had been training Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D’Arcy) for some time, the only child from the first marriage to reach adulthood. Visery’s new wife Alicent Hightower (Olivia Cooke) is no stranger to the royal court. As the daughter of Otto Hightower (Rhys Ifans), the hand of the king, she has known the hustle and bustle in King’s Landing for some time.
As usual for the Targaryens, Viserys’ brother Prince Daemon Targaryen (Matt Smith) also rides a dragon and seemed to have inherited the true blood of the dragon at birth. However, it is rumored that at the birth of a Targaryen, a coin is thrown around the final state of mind by the gods.
When a royal tournament is announced, the two most important women at the royal court, Alicent and Princess Rhaenyra, dress in different splendors: Alicent represents the green color, while Rhaenyra appears in red-black. The princess’s champion, simple knight Ser Criston Cole (Fabien Frankel), manages to knock Alicent Hightower’s men off the horse while josting. This marks the beginning of a feud between the most important women at the royal court, which will soon provoke a bloody civil war in Westeros and go down in history as the “Dance of the Dragons”.
