Jujutsu Kaisen Season 1 – Recap
*SPOILERS AHEAD FOR JUJUTSU KAISEN*
Yuji Itadori, a member of his school’s Occult Club, comes across a powerful curse object, a rotting finger of Ryomen Sukuna. His friends are attacked by other curses seeking the finger’s powers, and in a selfless act, Yuji swallows the finger to protect them. He merges with Sukuna and becomes the vessel for the curse.
Gojo Satoru from Jujutsu High, a school for sorcerers, takes him as his understudy and teaches Yuji everything about curses and the threat they pose to humanity. He teams up with Megumi Fushiguro and Nobara Kugisaki and the trio goes on missions to defeat the curses.

As Yuji encounters more curses, he learns more of Sukuna’s powers. Yuji even has a contract with Sukuna, which grants the curse full control over his body for a minute. This contract came in exchange for Sukuna resurrecting Yuji.
As the series progresses, Yuji learns how to use Sukuna’s powers and become stronger. They take part in an Exchange Event with Kyoto Jujutsu High School and participate in battles with students from Kyoto High.

Yuji and his allies also face off against Mahito, a powerful curse user who believes in the potential of transfigured cursed humans over normal human beings. Mahito later teams up with Geto Suguru, a former Jujutsu Sorcerer who was expelled from Jujutsu High.
Toward the end of the first season, the trio encounters Eso and Kechizu, two cursed brothers. The duo tests the strength of Yuji and his allies are eventually defeated. Season ends with flashbacks to Gojo’s Past, and Season 2 is likely to continue into Gojo’s Past Arc.

The second half of Season 2 will adapt from the Shibuya Incident Arc, which will see Mahito and Geto team up against other sorcerers, with the main aim of trapping Gojo Satoru in a seal.
