In March, we reported that Twin Engine was currently working on its first original anime titled “Shine On! Bakumatsu Boys” (jap. Bucchigire!) works. In a new trailer for the series, the cast members and the exact start date of the anime have now been revealed.

Accordingly, the series is expected to celebrate its Japanese TV premiere on July 8, 2022. Simultaneously with the TV broadcast, the work will be streamed in Japan on Amazon Prime Video and Hikari TV. The following Japanese voices can be heard in the series:

The story takes place at a time when the samurai ruled Japan. However, the Shinsengumi were nearly wiped out by an unknown enemy, but there is a lone survivor. Seven criminals were chosen to replace the Shinsengumi. So, to ensure law and order in Kyoto, a top-secret exchange operation begins.
