As Marvel fans, we know that Silver Surfer was first seen in the second series of Marvel comics co-created with Jack Kirby’s Fantastic Four-The Silver Surfer. This character was also portrayed in the movie with the same name and acted by Doug Jones. The character was introduced as a pseudo-villain in Fantastic Four but was later seen protecting the Super 4’s and their planet by sacrificing himself.

Silver Surfer was an extremely mysterious character who was following orders from a cosmic entity, succumbing to planets to gain more power. Stan Lee called him a philosophical observer, than a hero.

Many fan fictions have stated that Silver Surfer is one of the most powerful Marvel characters ever created by Stan Lee. Many of us know that he has cosmic powers that have the potential to destroy any planet.

According to Web of Stories Lee said- [Silver Surfer] became my mouthpiece for how I feel about a lot of things. I told Jack, ‘I want to use this character a lot.'” Norrin Radd eventually became the character that resembled Stan Lee’s opinions on the world. Stan continued, “[Silver Surfer] would talk about the fact that we live on the greatest planet we could ever want.

It has everything: It has clean, fresh air. It has sunlight/moonlight. It has all the water we could need; most of the planet has water. It has beautiful growing things, all the food we could want. Room for everybody. Why do we fight each other; why do we hate each other? What’s the matter with us; are we insane?”

Other Favorites

Marvel Fans don’t be disheartened. Stan Lee also has many other favorites.

Hulk– We know this guy who is always angry. Dr. Bruce Banner aka Hulk is one of the most loved characters in the Marvel universe. This Green Guy was a part of his father’s experiment that got most of his emotions and loves to Smash.

Spider-Man– ‘With great powers comes great responsibility’ This statement is by far the truest words of wisdom that were spoken by Stan Lee. A high-school boy bitten by a hybrid spider finds the ability to see good, hear good, can climb to extreme heights, and can through a powerful web that can make him fly.

Iron Man– The kids love Iron Man and so does Stan Lee. The billionaire Tony Stark puts his money into knowledge and becomes a superhero to many. He has everything power, suit, can kill bad guys, save the world, woos the ladies, and has humor that is enough to charm people.
