Stranger Things season 4‘s eagerly anticipated volume 2 is finally available on Netflix, and it is fantastic.

According to the show’s makers, the season finale of this year ended in carnage and saw the deaths of both significant characters and everyday citizens. The season 4 volume 2 finale of Stranger Things can be summarized as follows.

Spoilers ahead!

Nancy was taken into Vecna’s mental prison in the previous episode. He reveals his strategy to her and what would happen in the future, asking her to tell Eleven about it. Nancy, Steve, Robin, Eddie, Dustin, Max, Lucas, and Erica understand that Vecna’s body remains paralyzed when she captures someone or enters his mind lair, leaving his physical form vulnerable. They then decide to use Max as their bait and prepare to assault him while he is in a trance.

Eleven finds out that 001 was sent to the Upside Down by her, where he became Vecna. Then Eleven eventually succeeds in regaining her abilities. As a result, Eleven discovers that Dr. Brenner approached or communicated with 001 in the Upside Down using her. Just then, the military shows up at the facility in the desert, and Brenner is killed while attempting to flee with Eleven.

Eleven overcomes the assailants who attempted to shoot her using her telekinetic powers. Fortunately, Mike, Will, Jonathan, and Argyle show up and assist her in leaving the predicament.

Eleven learns that Vecna has to kill Max in order to use her powers to create a huge doorway between the Upside Down and Hawkins. They build a temporary isolation tank because she is hundreds of kilometers away so that she can get to Vecna’s mind lair.

When Max’s plot is successful, Vecna decides to murder her. Nancy, Steve, and Robin are attacked by vines in the Upside Down while Max is in a stupor. Dustin and Eddie are attacked after attracting the demobats to them. Eddie decides not to be a coward again and helps Dustin escape by luring the bats away from him. Sadly, this results in his tragic death.

Vecna is able to stop her in spite of Eleven’s best attempts, and he confesses that he made a connection with the Mind Flayer in the Upside Down years ago. He tells her that everything that has occurred in Hawkins over the past five years is a result of this. Although it isn’t explicitly displayed or discussed, we can make some educated assumptions about it and the dynamics between Mind Flayer and Vecna.

Vecna manages to capture both Eleven and Max. Eleven is inspired to defeat Vecna and liberate herself as Mike attempts to talk to her and motivate her by telling her how much he loves her. She is successful in defeating him in his mental lair, which aids in Nancy, Steve, and Robin’s release. They succeed in burning Vecna’s bodily form after that. Max still suffers from damaged limbs before passing away in a non-responsive coma, which is regrettable.

A Demogorgon is temporarily vanquished in the prison by Joyce, Hopper, and Murray in the meantime. It quickly becomes clear, however, that the prison also held several additional Demogorgons and demodogs. They decide to use rifles, flamethrowers, and other available weapons to eliminate the dangerous threats once they are back inside the building.

Vecna appears to have lost the battle, yet he still manages to carry out his plan when burning rifts appear in Hawkins, devastating the town and killing many people. Local authorities maintain that the incident was simply a large earthquake, but some locals continue to believe that Satanic cults were to blame for it.

The ash is seen falling from the sky in the last seconds of the season finale. The characters also learn that the spread of death and decay in the actual world is similar to that in the Upside Down. As they learn that Vecna was successful, they glance over the town and see smoke and flames. The villain may be back in a nightmare version of Hawkins for season 5 if Will gets a chill up his neck, confirming his continued presence. In other words, a conflict will start in the upcoming season.
