One of the longest series on CW ‘Supernatural’ got fans through a tough time. The fantasy series that got fans’ attention and loved by the viewers, the show was concluded in 2020. The show had a spinoff The Winchesters which was the prequel to the original but fans missed the show and this got Eric Kripke emotional with so much love.
Supernatural helped people through tough times
As the writer’s strike caused many shows to halt also Eric Kripke’s current show The Boys season 4, the creator posted a tweet on Twitter about how people want the show to return on the channel or OTT platform. People messaged the creator that it helped them with issues and tough times.
The show was able to gather a lot of viewership but with the spinoff, The Winchesters not getting much viewership was called off by the CW.
Before The Winchesters was premiered, Supernatural had many spinoffs line up, with “Bloodlines” following the relationships between hunters and monsters in Chicago, while “Supernatural: Wayward Sisters” followed a group of sisters fighting the monsters of the world. Given that neither series aired and The Winchesters was canceled after one season, this is yet another negative sign for Supernatural, suggesting that too many concepts used in the expanded Supernatural universe are being used not find favor, possibly lose their own weight.
Is the Supernatural continuing?
With much effort, the show was canceled by the channel after its farewell in 2020. Both shows will no longer be continuing. the spinoff The Winchesters is not liked by the audience. While Supernatural star Misha Collins (Castiel) seems a little hopeful for the future; seems fraught for the prequel to be cancelled after season 1.
If the series(spinoffs) stay true to the main characters Sam, Dean, and their found family; also the bond of their family it’s likely for the seasons to be renewed by the CW.
