On the official Twitter account of the Isekai anime “The Fruit of Evolution: Before I Knew It My Life Had It Made” (jap.: “Shinka no Mi: Shiranai Uchi ni Kachigumi Jinsei”) it was announced today that the series will be continued with a second season. The Fruit of Evolution Season 2: Official countdown started
Concrete details about the continuation, such as the contributors to the production team or a date for the broadcast, are still pending at this time. However, a countdown can already be found on the official website. What we can expect then is still open. As usual, we will keep you up to date as soon as there is news.
The twelve-part first season of “The Fruit of Evolution” was broadcast from October to December 2021 on Japanese television and is available here in the original sound with English subtitles at the streaming provider Crunchyroll. A disc release has not yet been announced.
The anime adapts the light novel of the same name penned by Miku, which has been published in Japan since September 2014 with illustrations by U35 and has 13 volumes to date. A manga adaptation of Sorano has been published in “Gaugau Monster” magazine since September 2017.

Hiiragi Seiichi is ugly and disgusting, at least according to his classmates who are always insulting him. One day, however, he hears a voice over the public address system that claims to be God. This one says to prepare for a trip to another world. A fantasy world in which there are game-like elements such as levels, values and abilities.
However, it is not just Seiichi who is to have his own Isekai adventure, but the whole school. Since his classmates had formed groups and he was excluded again, he is stranded alone in the new world, where the directly meets a gorilla who proposes to him. Before he can agree, they find the “fruit of evolution” that completely changes their lives.
