The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, a spinoff series, will debut on AMC in the fall of 2023, further expanding the world of The Walking Dead. Melissa McBride and Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) were supposed to reunite in the spinoff on television. When it was revealed that McBride would no longer be a part of the Carol/Daryl spinoff, those plans were altered. Reedus, at the time, defended his co-star’s choice, stating, “She wanted to take some time off, and she’s doing that.” It appears that things have changed now, and fans may finally receive their dream.
Although a specific date hasn’t been announced, it will probably air in October since that’s when the main series usually debuted. Additionally, the producers will probably want to leave enough time between The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon and The Walking Dead: Dead City (which made its AMC/AMC+ debut on June 18 for a six-week run). According to the teaser that was released during the Dead City premiere, the premiere will take place sometime between September and November.

Will Melissa McBride return in the Walking Dead spinoff as Carol?
According to Jeffrey Dean Morgan, a former cast member of The Walking Dead, the spinoff series may very possibly carry on the friendship between best friends Carol and Daryl. Morgan, who co-stars with Lauren Cohan as Negan in The Walking Dead: Dead City, shared a new BTS image of Reedus and McBride with the caption, “Well, well. We apologize, Norman. for chatting endlessly with you when we believed Melissa wasn’t performing on the show! Golly… This must have taken a very long time to prepare! Goddamn, it’s fantastic to watch these two together (from the beginning).
Although there hasn’t been an official confirmation of the story, having the couple on TV together undoubtedly would enhance the viewing pleasure. Adam Nagaitis, Anne Charrier, and French actress Clémence Poésy are confirmed cast members for the Paris-set spinoff. Also there is a photo that is going viral where Daryl and Carol are seeing together, you know what? May be Carol is coming back to rock the show.
Why Melissa McBride, aka Carol, left The Walking Dead earlier?
“Melissa McBride has given life to one of the most interesting, real, human, and beloved characters in The Walking Dead Universe,” the whole quote said. She is regrettably no longer able to take part in the previously announced spin-off centred on the characters of Daryl Dixon and Carol Peletier, which will take place and be filmed in Europe this summer and make its debut the following year.
“At this point, Melissa’s decision to relocate to Europe was no longer feasible logistically. The Walking Dead Universe continues to develop and extend in intriguing ways, so while we are aware that fans may be disappointed by this news, we sincerely hope to see Carol again soon, according to Collider.
But now that she will be back in the spin off it will be pleasure to see the chemistery between Daryl and Carol.
